All you have to know about the founders of Sibizi Media

It was just over 6 years ago when Sibizi Media was conceived. A digital Media agency that offer specialized solutions to corporate, businesses and brands – helping them build meaningful connections to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends at the same time help build their online presence for the brand using a variety of communication tactics and mix.

Sibizi Media was founded by Zinhlezonke Zikalala (Chief Executive Officer) and Bandile Mathebula (Managing Director and Chairman) in 2017 – with the sole purpose of building a legacy for themselves and families and a platform for the youth to create and express themselves freely through through various digital avenues and platforms.

Zinhlezonke Zikalala (30) hails from a small town in the Northern part of Kwa-Zulu Natal – Bergville. She completed her Communications degree specializing in Journalism at UFS in 2014, where she later located to Cape Town to begin her career in the Journalism industry. She has 5 years working across different brands and industries within the media pool.

She is currently the CEO at Sibizi Media and also the Editor in Chief at Sibizi Magazine – the brands flagship digital publication designed to inform, educate and celebrate the young and budding entrepreneur. The magazine has made a name for itself within the digital space, seeing more people consume content that the magazine has curated for them.

Zinhle is the head of the company managing mass production and entire strategy output and rollout lies with her.

Alongside Zinhle, stands one of the most hardworking individual we are yet to know. He boasts extensive knowledge within the digital media space and industry, from coding, web design, writing and strategy – he is basically ‘A Jack of all trades’

Bandile Mathebula (30) comes from the rural areas of Ladysmith, eMathondwane also in the Northern part of Kwa-Zulu Natal, but currently based in Durban. He is an award winning Writer and Journalist with extensive knowledge on the Digital media space. He studied Media Studies majoring in Journalism and Marketing.

He is the Managing Director at Sibizi Media focusing on Business Development and the day-to-day running of the company. He is also the Chief Editor at Both Sibizi News and Known Magazine – our sister digital publication focusing on business and finance as the anchor beats. He currently resides in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Sibizi Media’s vision is to see a technologically advanced and integrated society in the near future, which is why the company offers young students and graduates experience before going out into the corporate world to work for larger corporations. To date, Sibizi Media has worked with educational institutions such as Rosebank College and TUT, taking in interns to train and provide work place experience through their digital publications.

Throughout the five years that the business has been operating, Bandile and Zinhle have managed to capture quite a large number of loyal readers and clients through their unique publishing style – setting the bar for other entrepreneurs alike to match up to. We dub them the digital trend setters!
