The provincial manager of Boxing South Africa (BSA) in Gauteng, Lehlohonolo Ramagole has announced that all fighters, who are booked to battle in TLB Boxing Promotions’ competition on Saturday are fit and in good standing to step into the ring.
Ramagole continued in the interview after the fighters weighed in, ”From the clinical side each fighter has been announced fit and all set. All the fighters have likewise arrived at their committed weight cutoff points and this implies that the battle is on.”
The competition named ”Still Alive And Punching” is promoted by TLB Boxing Promotions and is featured by a battle between previous International Boxing Organization (IBO) welterweight champion Thulani ”Evolution” Mbenge and Mardochee Kuvesa Katembo from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Mbenge and Katembo will battle for the empty African Boxing Union (ABU) welterweight title.
The competition, which is upheld by the Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, will be hosted by the Klipspruit Sports Center in Soweto beginning at 18h00 on Saturday, the 17th October 2020.
