Phindile Gwala Provides Aid To Her Former School

By: Kwathole Conexion

KZN actress and entrepreneur, Phindile Gwala, has made a surprise visit to her former school, Princess Langazana Secondary School to provide aid.

Yesterday she visited her home rural village Ngodini, in Eshowe with much-needed PPE kits for hygiene and sanitation. The items included sanitizers, masks, and gloves. The aim of the visit was also to bring awareness to the importance of safety measures during the Covid-19 pandemic.

” With the situation and economy looking direr with each passing day, it is important to me that I am of service to my community, especially during this pandemic,” she said.

Phindile added that she hoped that her gesture would fan the flame of a message that ” We are in this together, we really do need each other and together we will get through this “.

The former Muvhango actress said the visit was an emotional one for her as it took her back to her days as a young learner in the school.

“It felt great to be in my old school. It brought me back all my childhood memories.  I wish I could do more but the current situation is disabling. I want to thank the principal, Mr. Mahaye for granting me the opportunity to give back to my school which also happens to be one of the best in the area.”

Phindile said she would continue visiting other schools around the country when the schools reopen.
