Touch of Soul AKA ‘TOS’ Talks About His New Swati Infused Hit Single – Hamba Nami

A global DJ, brand owner, artist and entrepreneur.

Touch of Soul whose real name is Thabo Mnisi, is a Durban based music producer and DJ that comes from the Kingdom of Eswatini. He specialises in soul, hence his stage name. “I experiment with a lot of sounds and just add a Touch of Soul,” he says. 

TOS has successfully made a household name for himself in both Swaziland and KZN considering he’s been in the music industry for almost a decade now and because he has a very popular clothing brand also called TOS that is very loved by locals.

Recently, TOS released his new hit single, Hamba Nami that features two artists from Swaziland; Slotta and Msimisi. “We had long planned to do a collaboration, and Hamba Nami was our opening prayer, asking the lords for guidance in our journey,” says Thabo. The track has been received well by the masses as it playlists on Mazani Hit List on Apple Music.

The DJ has in the passed worked with industry giants like DJ Tira, Beast, Holy Rey, Fey as well as a few other underground artists. “The industry hasn’t been too harsh on me…I have had big opportunities in big spaces and events, both locally and internationally. I am still on the rise, I took it upon myself to study the industry through other artists so through that, I’ve learnt a lot,” he admits. This young man on the come explains that he draws a lot of inspiration from DJ Tira, Prince Kaybee, Shimza and Sun el Musician. “I see myself playing in world class stages across the world. Tomorrow land would definitely be a vibe,” he fesses.
