Two Young Businesswomen Tackle Covid19 Heads On With Their Service Offering

Lockdown has taken all of us by surprise. We are at a stage where one should expect anything in these trying times. Although times may be tough right now, that should not demotivate us to take the necessary precautions, prepare and defend ourselves from the virus. Zilungeesa Enterprise has pledged to be in the forefront in the war against this virus. We chat to Mukelisiwe Mthethwa – Co-Owner of Zilungeesa Enterprise, enlightening us on the nature of their business and service offering.

Mukelisiwe co-owns the business with Ra-eesa Moosa – an intelligent and self driven businesswoman. The idea for their business emerged when the virus had recently broke out. With statistics rising, they curated a business plan that will aid the communities shall the virus hit our shores – and this was when the virus had only been discovered and spreading around China. “South Africa has thereafter been overwhelmed by this pandemic since it reached us earlier this year. After so much research, consultation and collaboration with the relevant stakeholders, we decided to engage in this new business venture. We find it more challenging as we have to keep up to date with the latest information and ongoing revelations on the corona virus,” She attests.

Zilungeesa Enterprises focuses on keeping the community and businesses safe from the current pandemic. The company was a family initiative at first, and at a later stage collaborated with Cleaning Queen – A Durban based company – for information and guidance, which included training and strategy development as a business. The business strategy development training also entailed looking at their network of business partners to carry their business opportunity forward, and this was a pedestal for their business’ success.

They have been in business since April/May this year, “We have since worked with a few schools including Little Minds and Madrassah in Estcourt. We also worked with other businesses as health providers such as Macksons Supermarket Estcourt and Mooi River, Hi Auto Ford car dealership and Panelbeaters, Sardiwarlla optometrist (Estcourt), Dr Maharaj surgery and Dr Z Sardiwalla surgery (Ladysmith),” Said Mukelisiwe.

“We specialize in all covid-19 related hygiene products ranging from PPE, to chemicals such as disinfectants and hand sanitisers,” she explained. Their service offering also sways to spraying and fogging. “With all of our covid-19 related products we offer personalized sanitizer dispensers with the desired company logo – much to the satisfaction of the client,” she stated. In addition, they also offer training and educating people in workplaces about the virus. They cover the nitty gritty of the COVID19 regulations, to help people understand the necessary hygienic routes they should take to protect themselves and others from the virus.

They offer services in Estcourt and all surrounding areas. All their products are co-friendly and safe to use in all environments.
