[WATCH] #WomenArePower Nolungelo Mkhatshwa – Founder of She South Africa

She is a South African Swati girl raised in KwaZulu-Natal. She is also the founder of a women’s empowerment organisation, She South Africa. Currently functioning as a freelance PR and Communications Strategist, Nolungelo has been assisting individuals and small businesses offering services and consultancy from PR strategies, personal branding, business imagery and social media communications strategies. Nolungelo’s drive for women empowerment in the women’s society has seen her to writing empowerment feature articles for Essays of Africa Magazine and placing small women businesses in magazines such as Mamas and Papas and Essays of Africa.

Nolungelo strongly believes in living a purpose driven Life and doing better each day, and that has been the umbrella idea around She South Africa. The organisation is infused with multiple departments that cater to the different issues and social lifestyles that women need support in. From sisterhood talks, women in business events to charity work. She South Africa aims to ensure that each woman who interacts with the organisation is assisted,either through business or individual growth. With the likes of Jessica Nkosi, Pearl Monama and Noma Khumalo falling part of the sisterhood, inspiration, motivation and the promotion of Excellence is inevitable. She South Africa has seen to many small businesses forming collaborations, growing their network and expanding their territory. The activation of women becoming personal brands and taking ownership of their career growth and development. With her profession allowing her to make use of it to the benefit of the organisation. 

Nolungelo has been able to expand her reach to other provinces. Delivering public talks at events such as PATH for media creatives which has seen her share the stage with the likes of Menzi Ngubane and Sihle Ndaba. With the aim of playing her part in breaking the walls around the perception that the media industry is closed to new creatives and faces by motivating and promoting the importance of being a personal brand and being a productive creative that’s shares the differentiation point they have to offer. This year Nolungelo, together with her organisation have expanded to the community of Mpumalanga province. Where she is to interlink the women of KZN and Mpumalanga through business connect, sisterhood talks and personal development. Through this expansion she aims to assist small women owned businesses to expand their reach by helping them create relationships with women in other provinces that She South Africa has created base in.
