It is really crazy when you see and hear so much just from the instrument, that’s what Pansuls is capable of. Moving you by playing his drums and leaving everyone wondering who he is.
The world is not ready for the drummer superstar, Pansuls. Pansuls is from Kwamashu D Section, Durban.His real name is Mbongeni Zibane,born 4 April 1980. “I grew up in a musical family at an early age, my sisters were into classic cusic. The love of drums started at church “Zion Church” then at school”, he explains.
He started high school at John Langa Libalele Dube, music was already in his heart because he was attending speach and drama classes.
“Then I met Edmund Muzi Mhlongo who is the reason of where I am at today. I met the Gospel group called Avante from KwaMashu, from there to Rebecca Malope, Deborah Fraser, Vuyo Mokoena”, he tells us more about his journey.
“It is really true that everyone has to start somewhere. This is all a testimony that if you believe and love you work, everything else works out.”
“I went to speech and drama working with a Production called Umoja travelling the World. Later I met Zakes “Zakhele” Madida Bantwini, who introduced me to Black Coffee, everything happened so fast. After that I met the likes of Mafikizolo, Dacapo, DjMerlon, Mondli Ngcobo then later I met DjTira and Big Nuz” he explains.
If you follow Pansuls on Instagram you will that he is moving around the world performing and moving everyone. He explains being on stage is a mission, he has to make sure that his focus is 100% and that he delivers. “I feel so happy and I see myself like I’m not in this world, the joy I have” he says.
“I still need to learn more and more to achieve what I want in the music industry , and I still need to work with other artists such as Sun El Musician, Black Motion, Dj Maphorisa” he explains.
What he is hoping and praying for now is to work on an album of his own to show his talent and the whole world to see his work.
